Our Golf Day Event was held on Friday 31st March 2023 at the Forster Tuncurry Golf Club. It was so great for the event to finally go ahead this year after three years of cancellations due to either Covid19 or weather. 

The day was a success with a good measure of healthy competition among the teams. The day included on course refreshments, auctions and raffles. Breakfast and lunch was also provided to keep energy high. 

We are so grateful for everyone who showed their support. We were able to raise a massive $11,600 to support local children and teens.

With this money we are able to provide more kids in the community access to activities so they can:

• Learn new skills
• Belong to a team
• Participate in swimming and music lessons and
• build confidence and improve coordination with Confidence for Kids – a martial arts program. 

Col Osborne who delivers Confidence for Kids said ”he is inspired by how so many people have turned such a tragedy into a huge positive for the community.” Col’s program has helped over 260 kids and teens. His program is also specially tailored to kids with autism. 

“Bullying for these kids is a major issue. By improving their movement skills and their belief in their own ability we can help build self confidence and an enjoyment of physical and social activities.”

We are already so excited for next year’s Golf Day event!
